March 2009

it’s ya b’day it’s my b’day…
yo yo…

so..
wat’s the big deal with b’day
getting more and more used to it not celebrating b’day…
anyway b’day should be like any normal days.
but you would enjoy more special treatment on that day cos it’s ya b’day πŸ˜‰

sorry a bit stressed out in da office…
gotta crap a bit πŸ˜‰

there is a very hot topic in town lately.
you see people wearing t-shirt with 60 and the design is the earth?
are you aware of this?
do you know when are they going to put on the event of earth hour?

earth hour is happening this coming Saturday night..
yeah saturday nite fever just stay at home.
turn off the unnecessary lights
and turn of the air cond

my friend argued with me why we need to participate during earthhour
it’s just another promotional tactic.

but to me…
if it is a promotional tactic,
it does not require you to spend money to support this action
why not just support it?

if it is a promotional tactic it would be a very sucessful promotion
cos the awareness that it has created
is very powerful
even the aunty would ask whether we should participate during the earth hour
so you see how powerful advertisement is
like water it goes through blogs, FB, youtube and other other changgih technology stuff
also we have radio and television not forgetting the newspaper creating the awareness.

i’ve checked the company’s list…
whether my company is in the list of supporting the earthhour activity.
too bad it’s not… even the other two big company i.e. P and K company is participating.

but based on t0m@k0’s philosophy of if it is to be it’s up to me…
i can spread the words through my blog…

if you do not intend to off your light.
just try to turn off those unnecessary lights
turn off your pc
turn off your aircon
turn off your TV

i think dun look down on this small deed.
it will help to contribute to a big deed.
cos if it is to be it will be all up to yourself.

reminder again..
to off your lights at 8.30 pm – 9.30 pm Saturday Nite. you can extend if you are happy πŸ˜‰
Vote Earth…
Switch off whatever you can switch off…

Good Day to All,

Recently, many of our customers have highlighted the importance of security controls within our office. Queries from customers include how secure customer’s data is in our servers and indirectly, how secure our infrastructure is from external parties in protecting customer’s data.

Contact with an insecure website may result in destructive viruses being downloaded into company’s network and also has the tendency allowing professional webmasters to access our computer servers. Likewise, the number one problem with computers in the workplace is lost time whereby some will spend immoderate of time “surfing” the web.

Apart from improving working efficiency, extra effort is needed to further improve the security controls within the company. As such, precaution measures to minimize our network exposure to external parties will be carried out. One of the measures is to restrict internet accessibility in the workplace but nevertheless, company understands the need of internet is essential to the performance of some jobs. Therefore, certain authorized internet access for members and websites that have a specific and directly work related purpose will only be allowed but apart from this, additional PC/Desktops will be prepared at a designated area for common internet usage.

You can refer to the work related accessible websites in our intranet (under Policies section) via Virtual Office. Yes, our intranet has been updated with latest information such as Organization Chart and other information. Please feel free to browse through! Management will review from time to time should they be a need or request for additional websites to be added in this list. You can submit your request to Project Managers but subject to Management approval.

Effective Date: 1st April 2009 onwards.

the firm is taking some action on cutting cost.
Saving cost by using less dispatch and more on courier service which is much much more cost effective.

some how i think it’s good in a way that it create a win-win situtation or 双衒 situation for both client and us.
but i would wonder whether some would think it is troublesome.
sometimes i would think whether there is a necessary for us to send all the documents by hand since it’s so expensive.
and client might comment why you need to send by hand while you can send to me via courier.

in this economy down time people look at various way to cut their cost.
sometimes they like your service.
but they need to cut cost.
so they find various reason to say this is too high that is too high end up you will come to a situtation that you will loose the job.

i keep on resulting to the person who send me to work being late to work.
i’m guilty
so.. what should i do?
just wake up early
and sleep earlier.
dun play the computer in the morning?
only play it during the weekends?
i’m troubled and confused.
hopefully it won’t happen anytime soon
or else i’ll be very very guilty.

yesterday big big boss called and ask who you think should be promoted.
it’s a difficult question for myself.
cos i think both deserve to be promoted. since both of them are pretty helpful to the old boss.
then i think again.
how about the juniors
whether they got any promotion?
if no promotion how about increament?
some who has been working for a long long time they deserved to be promoted based on my judgement.
but i wonder the Supervisor 1 should be of what standard…
and Senior 1 is of what standard

whether are you above average
you are average or below average

6 large eggs
6 teaspoons (1 teaspoon for each egg) low-fat milk
3 dashes of salt (1 dash for every two eggs)
1 Tablespoon butter for frying

Heat a large non-stick frying pan to a setting just above medium. A 12-inch pan works well for 6 eggs. Do not add butter yet. We just want get the pan ready.

In large metal or glass mixing bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk and salt. Beat vigorously for 2 minutes.

Alternatively, you can place the eggs, milk and salt in a blender and blend for 20 to 25 seconds. Allow the mixture to set for a couple minutes to let the foam settle.

Melt the butter in the frying pan. As the very last of the butter is liquefying, add the egg mixture.

Do not stir immediately. Wait until the first hint of setting begins. Start the Martha Stewart scrambling technique (“Using a spatula or a flat wooden spoon, push eggs toward center while tilting skillet to distribute runny parts.”)

Continue this motion as the eggs continue to set. Break apart large pieces as they form with your spoon or spatula. You will come to a point where the push-to-center technique is no longer cooking runny parts of the egg. Flip over all the eggs. Allow the eggs to cook 15 to 25 seconds longer. Transfer eggs to serving plates. Add salt and pepper to taste.

A note about milk and water: Soy milk works effectively in the recipe. Whole milk lends an overly milky taste to the eggs. No-fat milk and water can both be used in place of the low-fat milk but the creamy texture of the finished product is reduced.

i spend the weekend not working but more to more time for myself.
saturday went for movies which i think is a meaningful one, shopping
yeah again spend a lot of money.
i guess i should keep my credit card and prevent it from being used by me

then sunday i stay at home
and we bought some abalone …
yeah abalone mushroom
and i decided to show a bit of my cooking..
but i do not know how to cook πŸ˜›
hahaha…
so..

i cooked those instant mushroom soup with abalone mushroom inside which i think which turn out to be a very good soup.
and also fried frog leg using some egg and special frying flour
it turn out to be a nice dish even i think that i’m not a good cook
but i do see the happiness of being able to cook with the person you like
and cook for the person you like geh.
